Authentic Chilean Products

Market Tour

We are starting our company with gourmet foods from Chile because we found the most wonderful, high quality products made there by entrepreneurs using the finest raw ingredients.  We found that very few of these great products are currently available in the US.

Chile is located on the west coast of South America.  It is 2,700 miles long and very narrow with an average width of only 110 miles.  It is uniquely isolated with diverse geography, a wide range of climates, exceptionally fertile soils, pristine waters and natural barriers.  With the Pacific Ocean on the entire country’s length to the west, the towering Andes Mountains to the east, Antarctica territory to the south and the Atacama Desert to the north, Chile is naturally protected from the parasites and diseases that plague most other regions of the world. Thus, Chilean farmers use significantly less agrochemicals than most food producing regions.  In fact, Chile is considered one of the world’s naturally cleanest environments for food production.  Chile’s unique natural gifts combined with its skilled agricultural professionals and state-of-the-art farming techniques allow it to produce and export a tremendous variety of whole and processed foods of unsurpassed quality, purity and consistency.

The mild, Mediterranean climate of Chile’s central region is ideal for growing high quality fruits, vegetables, olives and wines.  As a southern hemisphere country, Chile’s growing seasons run counter to the growing seasons of countries in the north, so Chile can supply the highest quality fresh fruits and vegetables to northern hemisphere countries during their winter months.

All of this allows Chile to be a leading producer and exporter of some of the world’s finest fruits, berries, vegetables, fish, shellfish, poultry, meats and wines.  Chile is the world’s largest exporter of fresh grapes, plums and fresh fish fillets.  It is the world’s second largest exporter of pacific salmon and avocados and the fifth largest exporter of wine.

Chilean foods are consistently gaining awards for their taste and quality in international food competitions.  Chilean olive oils have won international acclaim at competitions such as the LA County Fair in Los Angeles, CA, USA, and the Leone D'Oro dei Mastri Oleari and the Sol d’Oro competitions in Italy.
